Baby cry with eyes closed middle of night!!!

Dear all mummy,

my baby girl now 9mths old, she recently often wake up middle of night crying with eyes closed. Any mummy encounter the same problem? why she will like that? nightmare? any solution?

Maybe day time play and laugh too much? Could over stimulated so at night cry. Maybe before sleeping time, can sing some songs/read a book and tone her down before bedtime so she can relax into her sleep better.
