I was given Salbutamol(Ventolin) drip for one night hospital stay to prevent uterine contractions. I didn't like it one bit, makes the heart pound faster and had difficulty sleeping.
I was also given nifedipine.
Try to lie on your sides the next time you encounter any tightening and drink...
Your baby is of a good weight!
Yes if you feel menses cramp above the pubic bone and below the belly button, do go seek advise immediately from the Dr, don't delay now that we are in 3rd trimester. Better to err on the side of caution.
Also read a case of one lady who had placental abruption...
@bliswifu good idea, now I can have some healthy cereals if I feel hungry at night. Yes, we also quite paranoid to announce this pregnancy as I had been spotting till week 14. Would only feel it's real when we hold the baby after delivery.
@Ice_Tea do drink lots of water to flush out the toxins...
Ya 1kg every month was also my target. But exceeded liao hehehe
And yes it does seem like I'm always hungry, a few times in the middle of the night! Got frustrated and tried to ignore the hunger pangs by sleeping. Then end up my BB is underweight!
This year many celebrities are pregnant...
@bel_vodka li hai leh sahm u can lose 19kg!! I want to lose all the weight gained after delivery too:D
@snowy03, how much weight did your gynae says to gain?
@hi_mei yes I also feel gaining 30+kg is quite scary *turn blue*
@chrisl LOL wow what u eat only gained 5kg and all go to your BBs...
Hahaha yes it can stressing to see the scales tipping more and more!
Just spoke with a friend who's very skinny today, she gained 15 kg in pregnancy but had diabetes in pregnancy.
She was having 2-4 kit kat fingers daily plus durians. I have better cut down on my daily scoop of ice cream...
It's reassuring to know your baby has practiced turning head down *thumbs up*
So far every scan I see my baby same position, he must be very comfortable. :)
I do feel some slight discomfort in the V area especially when I'm constipated and feeling so packed inside. Do let your gynae know and ask if they can check your cervical length via abdominal ultrasound. Do not do vaginal ultrasound if possible, try not to disturb the cervix.
@snowy03 initially I was worried too when my baby is too quiet. I think we probably would welcome their soccer kicks at our tummies anytime just for peace of mind. :D
@bliswifu that's great to know your baby has turned head down already!
@Ice_Tea yes the worry about our baobeis start from the the moment we know of their presence in our body. It's never ending, now I learn to be more appreciative of my mum for all that she is doing for me.
@chrisl I suggest...
@moo3moo yes consecutive weeks cos I lost my mucus plug and had hard tummy showing contractions, so had closer monitoring.
Ya don't drink tea read somewhere that caffeine is toxin to the baby. Maybe taken in moderation ok bah or depends on individual body constitution.
