Don't be discouraged. My baby was also in special care and I couldn't latch him on at all. Nurses gave me the pump but I was too stressed and tired to pump. After I was discharged the next day, I just started pumping at home, every 2-3h for about 20 mins. No output never mind, just get the...

Hi Sheran, what's the reason for your doctor recommending c-sect? Is it simply cos your baby is deemed too big by the time you're full-term? Do you not hope for a natural birth?

Vaginal examination where the doc inserts her fingers to check for dilation or effacement. I'm quite happy so far with my gynae and everyone I've come across with in kkh. Always bothers me whenever someone makes sweeping statements about the conduct of nurses or that it's not 'pro-natural'...

Honestly I think you just had a bad experience at KK so please don't equate all doctors to the ones you've encountered during your stay there. My gynae at The Private Suite has done ve on me twice and both times were not uncomfortable nor painful. I was almost admitted too as I experienced...

Yes. Reach there, nurse draw blood then drink then wait for 2h then draw blood again. My gynae appt was same day so I got my results from her. And yes, she did the scan herself. She's been monitoring my placenta for a few visits already. Each time, she commented still low.

Salam, congrats to you! I'm not a patient of Dr Suzanna but I think her patient list is very packed. My colleague (due in Jul) said that she requested for an appt with Dr Suzanna back in Nov/Dec but the earliest they can schedule her is end-Feb. There are also other female gynaes in KKH but...

Hey all. I took the glucose test at my 25th week. As my dad has diabetes, my gynae ordered one for me just for peace of mind. At kkh, it's not a concentrated orangey drink but a room-temp cup of sugar water. Not concentrated but not very diluted also. Didn't have a problem chugging down 3/4 of...

Why don't you switch to the private scheme under KKH? You'll be able to have Dr June Tan as your personal gynae then.

Salam, thanks for sharing your birth story imie. MasyaAllah, what a challenge for you seeing your baby in NICU for so long. Surely lama she was inside kan? May I clarify... if that was your 1st pregnancy, that means you had a vaginal birth right? Cos VBAC means vaginal birth after caesarean. Do...

Yesss @lady_chris, me! I put a bunch of them into my daily glass of soya bean. Now I'm wondering if coconut water is ok to drink. Heard from a few well-meaning aunties that we should avoid it in the first trimester. Googled a bit to check validity but couldn't find a good answer. Btw, I took a...

Hi all, quick qn. I'm into my 8th week but a bit worried cos I don't have any pregnancy symptoms like ms or nausea or cravings. I don't feel... pregnant. My next gynae appt is mid oct but I really can't wait to know how the babe is doing.
