hi Fion, I always encourage my kids to check the dictionary themselves. If they don't find the word or still can't understand, then I will explain.

I agree with jesslyn how the presence of a parent fires up the kid's motivation. Unfortunately, its not a feasible option for me so I have to do the evening routine thingy and then get back to work on line around 10pm when they have gone to bed :-(
