Yeah! My appointment was at 9.15am and I reached before 9.20am...Only get to see doc at10.45am...I am doing natural fet:)
 


Hi Ladies,

Any sisters here have undergone or currently in the IVF treatments with Dr Wiwat from Bangkok? Would you mind sharing with me information on this?

Such as :
1) How many trips do we need to go BKK?
2) What is the timeline from first consultation to embryo transfer?
3) What is the total cost (including PGD if you have done so)

If you don't mind sharing here, or pm me. Thanks very much in advance.

I done my scan.. They say is menses.. My lining today is 5.5.. Jus did my jab jus now

i asked the nurse about this too. she advised against unless it's just some light walking. reason given is when on stims, the body is working hard to produce eggs, so we shouldn't divert any energy away from it.

I did check with Dr Loh when i was on stims. He mentioned that it was ok to exercise, just no strenuous exercise and most imptly, not to carry heavy stuff. But then again, i was always feeling tired while on stims, i din even bother to exercise.. haha...

Can I ask when you see Dr. Loh at TFC was the late very long?

hi lovetohavekids, the wait at Dr Loh's is long, an average of 2-2.5hrs each time.. usually i would ask for a slot after 5pm so that can go after work and dun have to waste leave.. hopefully the long waits are all worth it :) are you his patient too?

Hi Cindy, I believe you are still seeing Dr Loh at his O&G Specialist Clinic at TMC instead of TFC at Novena Specialist Centre since you are seeing him in the afternoon? Dr Loh sees mainly Ivf patients at TFC and works there first half of the day only. He sees mainly patients for obgyn services at his private clinic at TMC during 2nd half of the day. Some Ivf patients, like myself did, see him here initially but eventually nearing the ET will be transferred to TFC as all procedures related to Ivf will only be performed at TFC. I did find TFC waiting times much shorter than at his private clinic esp if you get first few slots in the morning unless in the few occasions where he has to attend to birth deliveries at TMC before he starts at TFC or Ivf procedures in between consultations at TFC.

Hi DawnBB, thanks for the info.. Im still waiting for my FET, hopefully to be done this mth.. so have not gone to the ET portion of the treatment yet. Was at TFC at Novena for my ER and yap, the wait was still ok. Prob becos ER has to be done at a certain time so priority given?

I did my IVF with Dr Wiwat in BKK before. Procedure is just like any other ivf...flew in for blood test and "chit chat" about medical / past ivf history..Dr Wiwat usually advise his patients to buy a package: 3 ERs follow by FET. It is cheaper as the last ER (3rd ER) is priced cheaply if you are on package. However, it means you will do 3 consecutive ER before doing FET.

I didn't go PGD coz I am low responder, only produce very little eggs per ER.

Good! My lining only 3... I did my jab too today... What were you prescribed? Mine is Orgalutran and Gonal-f. U're at KKH?

The person who did the scan for me was a teeny bit rough tho...

Oh I see... Thanks, forgot to check with nurse.

I forgot what we should eat during this period of stims for good egg quality... Is it half boiled egg whites?

Nope, Indian lady. Instead of the room 5 where you're supposed to drop your number chit with your name and IC number , I was ushered to rooms on the other side for the scan.

It's not painful, just a little aching in the pelvic when she push in, jab around and pull out. She's fast though.

I heard she's part of a new process especially for first scan. Seems not as experienced as those in room 5.

No problem :) Actually not just when you are scheduled for ER or ET, normal scans and consultation during stims are based on scheduled appointments and the waiting times at TFC are still better than at his private clinic.

I'm new here and am in the midst of our first round of IVF now. Thought it will be great if I joined a support group as it has been pretty dark for me.

We had the egg and sperm retrieval yesterday and my ovaries are still hurting, peeing hurts and bloating bad! Tailbone hurts as well but the nurses said it might have been the position I was in. They have extracted 26 eggs from me and prescribed me some medication to take for 8days to prevent OHSS. Unless I am unable to eat or pee, they said its normal. Is this how it is?

I also have moderate hydrosalpinx in my left tube. Are there any ladies with it here?

I'm trying to be positive by watching lotsa comedies and taking my mind off with crafting and book binding. This infertility route is long and dark but I will not give up hope.

Better not. Because during stims ur ovaries will expand like double or triple. The risk is that your ovaries entangles during exercise and it will require surgery to untangle!( worst case scenario) it's always not advised to do heavy exercises. Strolling is still ok.

I am from kkh.. I kana a indian lady.. According to my frens.. This lady bery pain.. True enough it really pain compare to my last 2 scan.. I aso got orgalutran and gonal f

Hi babe! It will be a vaginal scan but it's not that bad, don't worry! And the nurses at KKH are super professional and sensitive and make it seem like there's nothing wrong with it! Small thing! Pay no attention to it!

To all you strong ladies here, this is my first IVF cycle as well and through all the experiences I've had so far, pain and painful ones, I still strongly feel that for us to have the courage to go through this painful process that is disruptive to our work, requiring quite a bit of team work with the husband, is the highest level of intimacy and act of love. It is a beautiful thing so give yourselves and your significant other a good pat on the back!

@maisarasara You have hydro too? My doctor is Sadhana and she wanted us to just try one round of IVF before exploring surgeries. Did you do anything to it prior to IVF? Also, I only found out about this enzyme a week before IVF is starting, you might wanna check it out on YouTube. It's called Serrapeptase and many ladies have unblocked it with this natural enzyme! I was gonna try it and then IVF started. Those ladies gave me hope and should give you hope too!
 
Monring ladies... can i check if anyone here experienced infection? I realised that the frequency increased after I started on IVF. called the clinic and the nurse told me to drink lots of water to flash out.. but am just concerned for the cause of it.

Yup mine was this Indian lady also. She pushed a little bit hard to the sides without warning and my pelvic cramped up a little. But nothing compared to a Pap smear I had some years ago performed by this pregnant KKH doctor. So still okay for me.
 
Hi ladies. I am new here too. My first fresh cycle is this month July. Already did some scans and injection. Doctor say my eggs are growing slowly. Anything I can eat to help boost them to grow fast? Also doctor increase puregon from 250 to 300. I am with kkh dr sadhana.

You can increase your protein intake. Best is to consume 4-5 egg whites per day to enhance your egg growth.

My hubby was telling me, for our next fresh, don't go for acupuncture la.. Just take things easy. I have been going for acupuncture diligently before i start ivf. Maybe we failed 2 times so he also feel discourage. I'm also taking COQ10 and prenatal vitamins. Probably need to consider to take DHEA for the next cycle.. Will check with Dr Tan when i go for the review.

@mesara stay strong and hope thru the help of Dr Choolani, u will soon be able to have ur take home bb next yr! i actually envied that you manage to bfp thrice.. cos i nvr had once before.

Hey gal, dont give up. Keep trying. i feel you. I failed my second fresh too didnt go till ET as fertlised eggs were not of good quality hence didnt last till ET. So i will be doing my 3rd fresh in Aug.

Hi Happynods, the baseline Antral Follicle Count doesn't really matter according to Prof Wong. I had 3 on each side for mine and I was worried then as it did sounded little. However, as you inject yourself, the follicles will grow. I ended up with 16 follicles at the last scan before ER. So don't worry!
 


thanks @iewezs , how was your amh?? cos mine is quite low too.

im telling myself don't worry cos there is absolutely nothing i can do about it! but 2 seems really few! and dr lim (substituting prof) also said it's rather low and we won't be expecting even 10 follicles by the end of stims, which sucks for me, cos i need to do pgd somemore.

praying the gonal f and menopur will wake my sleeping beauties up!
