Chinese New Year Activities at IKEA

Come usher in the Year of The Rooster with IKEA! The Swedish furniture giant has an egg-citing line-up of in-store activities and festive goodies at both its Tampines and Alexandra stores this Lunar New Year. Need to stock up on Mandarin oranges? Purchase them at $9.80 per carton at the IKEA stores from now till 27 January 2017! Each carton contains 30 large-sized Mandarin oranges and weighs approximately 5kg. Each customer can buy a maximum of five cartons.
And how about some cookies for the festive season? Take your pick from Pineapple Rolls ($8), Prawn Rolls ($8), Premium Peanut Cookies ($7.50), Kuih Bangkit ($7.50), Apricot Choc Chip Cookies ($7.50) and Walnut Oat Cookies ($7.50)! From 3 January to 11 February 2017, Lotus Leaf Rice will also be on sale at IKEA stores for just $6.80. What’s more, the Swedish Food Market will be selling ASC certified Salmon Yu Sheng from 9 January onwards at $13.80 till stocks last!
What’s the newest seasonal range at IKEA, you ask? It’s the LYCKSALIG 2017 collection! Meaning blissful in Swedish, this limited edition range ushers in the Lunar New Year with prosperous serve ware, textiles and accessories. Reinterpreting the traditional festive arrival of spring, the collection is brought to life through bold cherry blossom prints, vibrant pops of auspicious orange, red, gold colours and subtle gold hints. Are you ready to be the hostess with the mostess?
That’s not all. There are also in-store activities lined up for shoppers at both the IKEA Alexandra and Tampines stores. There will be fengshui master talks, frame decoration workshops, a God of Fortune walkabout, flower arrangement demonstrations and a special Chinese New Year calligraphy demonstration on 7 & 14 January 2017 (Saturdays)!
